DESCRIPTION:Fight identity theft and needless clutter at home by bringing your personal documents to our shredding event to have them safely shredded. Join us for a free Community Document Shredding Event on Saturday\, September 5 at West Chicago Public Library District\, 118 West Washington Street in West Chicago\, from 9am-12pm. Only paper materials will be accepted\, small paper clips and staples do not need to be removed. Shredding accepted until shred truck is full. \n\n\n\n\n\nEvent Map:\n\n\n\nShredding traffic ENTER the event from Washington St.\, Exit via Turner Ct (One Way).  \n\n\n\nLibrary Traffic Enter via Washington St.; Drop off at the Circle and leave via Washington St. or Park in section 1 of the parking lot\, then exit via Turner Ct. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial Items RECYCLING:\n\n\n\nAdditionally at this event we are happy to collect the following items to recycle with SCARCE.  \n\n\n\n\nHoliday Lights\, Cords & wires\n\n\n\nKeys (household\, luggage\, car)\n\n\n\nEyeglasses & Sunglasses (no cases)\n\n\n\nPlastic Bread Tags\n\n\n\nX-ray\, MRI\, and Lithographic Film\n\n\n\nHearing Aids\n\n\n\nCrayons\n\n\n\n\nNO other items will be accepted\, but we encourage you to see what else you may drop off directly to SCARCE or your to your local & county (DuPage | Kane) recycling resources. \n\n\n\n\n\nDownload & share or print & post our flyers! \n\n\n\nShred FlyerDownload

DESCRIPTION:Need to update your driver license or license plate sticker? Illinois Secretary of State Driver Services Mobile Facility will be at Hanover Township Senior Center on October 26th from 10am-2pm. \n\n\n\nDMV services available include: \n\n\n\n\nVision Screening\n\n\n\nREAL ID (Appropriate documents required\, see below)\n\n\n\nDriver’s License (Renewal\, Duplicate\, Corrected) \n\n\n\nState Identification Card (First Time\, Renewal\, Duplicate\, Corrected) \n\n\n\nVehicle Registration Renewal Stickers (Registration expiring within the current year) \n\n\n\nOrgan & Tissue Donor/Voter Registration (Only with License or ID Application)\n\n\n\nSeniors age 65 and older (no charge for state ID)\n\n\n\nSeniors age 75 and older must visit a Secretary of State Driver Services facility to renew driver’s license\n\n\n\n\nImportant Notes:\n\n\n\n\nNO CASH ACCEPTED: ILSOS accepts checks\, money orders\, major credit cards such as (Visa\, Master Card\, American Express\, Discover Card\, Diners Club)\, RFID payments like Apple Pay\, Samsung Pay and Google Pay.\n\n\n\nSeniors age 75 and older must visit a Secretary of State Driver Services facility to renew driver’s license\n\nRecent legislation that passed\, if signed by the governor\, will not go into effect until July 1st\, 2026\n\n\n\n\n\nTo renew a current lllinois driver’s license or ID card\, a valid driver’s license or ID card must be presented. \n\n\n\nTo apply for a duplicate or corrected driver’s license or ID card\, two forms of identification must be presented. Acceptable forms of identification\, or visit ilsos.gov.\n\n\n\n\nREAL IDs\n\n\n\nSecretary of State Mobile DMVs offer customers the option of receiving a “REAL” driver’s license/ID or a “Standard” driver’s license/ID. \n\n\n\nThe Real ID Act is an Act of Congress establishing requirements that driver licenses and identification cards issued by Illinois meet certain verification criteria of personal information when applying.
